Why are we doing this?

A game-changing solution.We believe in windows, not walls. If messaging services are dividing phone users, then we want to break those barriers down. Nothing Chats is an app developed in partnership with Sunbird, which allows you to message other users via blue bubbles. We are currently in a Beta phase, which means more features and improvements are coming down the line. Stay in the loop by signing up for updates.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re a Phone (2) user you can download Nothing Chats from the Google Play store. Log in with your existing Apple ID username or create a new account, and set the app as its default messaging app to start sending and receiving blue bubbles. In order to have iMessages sent from your contact vs. your Apple ID email, send your vCard contact file to your contacts, and have them save it so that your Apple ID email will merge with your contact information saved on their phone.

 

If you choose to create an Apple ID when you sign up, you may experience a warm-up period of up to an hour.

Yes, Nothing Chats is built on Sunbird’s platform and all Chats messages are end-to-end encrypted, meaning neither we nor Sunbird can access the messages you’re sending and receiving.

Sunbird is also ISO27001 certified (Certificate Number: IA-2023-09-21-01) and will soon be audited by a third party for the 27701 addition soon.

No, Nothing is powered by Sunbird, and Sunbird’s architecture provides a system to deliver a message from one user to another without ever storing it at any point in its journey. Messages are not stored on Sunbird’s servers and are only live on your device – once a message is delivered, it can only be recovered locally from your personal device. 
Sunbird holds the customer’s Sunbird account email only for as long as they are active. If not active, this is deleted / purged after two weeks.
