What can I say about the 3A Pro that hasn't already been said in a hundred other reviews? Fantastic quality for the price point, incredible camera, brilliant UI. It's hard to talk about anything negative about the phone.
But there are negatives. Essential space, while an interesting concept, is mostly an unnecessary addition. I haven't found any good use for it, and with rumors of the service requiring a subscription in the future, it's even less likely that I will use it.
The worst detractor on the phone, however, is the button placement. Why the buttons were placed in the dead center of the phone on either side is beyond me. While it might make some navigation aspects slightly easier while you're holding the phone, leading to a number of accidental button presses. On top of this, the phone becomes incompatible, or at least awkward, with most car holders, as they hold the phone exactly where the buttons are located on it.
Maybe this could be mitigated with the ability to disable the essential space button, but as of the writing of this review, that is not possible.
Like the title of this review says, the phone is almost perfect. More sensible button placement, less emphasis on AI, it would be the easiest recommendation for a phone in its price point that I could ever make. Maybe with the next iteration, it'll be perfect.
